Slot 1A

Jason Feldstein is presenting on "Practical Jewish Folk Magic"

Everyone seems to know about kabbalah these days, but most traditional Jewish magic (or "practical kabbalah") is actually anything but. Traditional Jewish folk magic deals far more with angels, Hebrew names of God, and biblical verses than with anything from the Zohar or Sefer Yetzirah. This talk will cover basic Hebrew pronunciation for magicians, major Jewish grimoires and what they're useful for, how to design a medieval Jewish incantation, amulet-making with modern materials, and finally, how to relate all these practices back to the Tree of Life if you choose.

Slot 1B

Panel 1: What Wizards Do: The life and Times of Magicians

Inspired by Peter Carroll’s Arcanorium.com class of a similar title, we ask the panel members what do they do? How do they keep up their daily magical practice as well as manifest their goals? Do they follow towards their True Will, how do they know, and how do they do that? How does magic relate to their daily lives and how do they make their daily lives integrate with their pursuit of magic? Audience questions to specific members are most welcome. Moderated by Jason Colwell( Co-host of http://ddtrh.com ).

Slot 2A

Shawn is presenting on "Magick and the Imagination"

Too often magick is treated as a serious thing, full of rules, obligations, and grim duties. We lose sight of the excitement, the promise, the potential. In this presentation, the latest in my "Magick and Stuff" series, I'm going to review the basics of chaos magick, in conjunction with a case study of rediscovering two of my favorite things which had fallen by the wayside a bit: constructed languages and magick.

Slot 2B

Panel 2: Maleficent Magic: Curses, Hexes, and Jinxes

From putting beauties to sleep to cold revenge, curse work has been a part of the magic throughout the ages. This topic is always lively with different traditions and practitioners having radically different viewpoints. When is a curse appropriate, what is needed for a Jinx, and what does it mean to curse? What constitutes a curse? We will cover some of the mechanics as well as the ethics of curse work and the various practitioners who use them. Join The Crucible Convention and the Deeper Down the Rabbit Hole Staff in what is sure to be a lively discussion. Moderated by Jason Colwell( Co-host of http://ddtrh.com )

Find ways to cultivate love in your life than cannot be denied and that goes way beyond your wildest dreams!

Slot 4A

Inominandum is presenting on "SEX SORCERY"

The sexual act is possibly the most potent magical act that can be performed. At the climax. the body, mind, and spirit are brought together into a singularity from which we can collapse back into our ordinary lives, generate new possible realities through magic, or push through into enlightenment. From the Tantric mysteries of Hinduism and Buddhism, to the sacrament of the bridal chamber in Christianity, to inner alchemy of Taoism, to the mixing of alchemical elixirs from sexual fluids, the power of Sexual Sorcery pervades the highest and most secret teachings all over the world. Yet, even in today's information laden world, the actual techniques are blurry at best. In this class Jason will give a short primer in sex magic that draws upon both eastern and western sources. More importantly he will reveal in plain language how best to make use of these techniques for improving your sorcery, your spirit, and your life.

Slot 4B

Kevin, Matt and Fr. Joseph are presenting a lecture on Demonology

Demonology is one of the most complex aspects of world religions, theology and spirituality today. In modern times, it is mostly associated with Christianity. However, demonology is an integral part of all major faiths and religions. Man's quest to deal with wicked entities has roots going back into the earliest ages of mankind's arrival on this planet and beyond. This presentation features three knowledgeable individuals in various areas of the paranormal who have contacted the living dead, ghosts and various spirits. This diverse panel will discuss a number of subjects including: world religions, demonic possession, violent haunting, ghosts and angels they will be opening the floor to questions and comments from the audience.

UPDATE: Matt Tierney and Fr. Joseph Broz won't be able to make it because of last minute duties. However, Kevin will still be giving his lecture.

Slot 5A

Arthur is presenting on "Omnimancy: Healing Techniques"

One of the main uses of magic is healing. In this year's lecture, we will cover Omnimancy's slant on this goal, as well as the supporting infrastructure such as energy management and astral biology topics. The most simplistic to much higher ended approaches and techniques will be gone over. Many of the techniques have significant uses outside of simple healing.

Slot 5B

Rufus is presenting on "Nothing but AN EYE: The Mysteries of Ecstatic Hermetics"

Taking the title from Aleister Crowley’s “Broomstick Babblings” in the _Book of Lies_ as the theme, in this year’s R.O. Crucible experience the good Frater explores what EYE we secretly are, deep within, and the methods of opening that eye through the application of Ecstatic Hermetics.

Entertaining, practical, and hopefully life changing, RO’s presentation will cover the necessary framework, methods of passing within and some of the things he’s picked up along the way. RO focuses on providing the practical techniques that most people can use to replicate the process and the experiences he’s been through, because it’s secretly the most fun he ever had in his life and the only thing he thinks is worth passing on to anyone else.

Included this year (unless everything changes):

  • Hermes and the ecstatic mysteries
  • Wielding the Wand: Mystery of the Caduceus
  • WTF is Drunken Magus Style?
  • The Funky Monkey
  • Skipping Witches and Hopping Toads

If all goes according to plan, we’ll wrap things up with an eye-opening conjuration, and hopefully, drinks at the bar.

Slot 6A

Andrei Freeman is presenting on "Tarot by without the book."

Divination draws on arcane symbols and mystical powers. Yet it still has time to stop off and help you make that perfect Jets pick when you're not sure which side of the spread the game will end on. Effective divination is more about the process than the rules along the way. While the rules are important. There is one we'll focus on to take your divination work to the next level.

For best experience try to bring at least one tarot deck. (Loaner decks may be available) Better if you have one deck you love to work with and one that absolutely never works for you. This will be a participatory class but will be a great starting point for people interested in learning about Tarot.

"And if you're not careful, you just might learn something" - Bill Cosby

Slot 6B

Andrieh Vitimus is presenting on "Beginning Information Sorcery"

Andrieh Vitimus presents a different model of energy work using simplified techniques that beginners to advanced practitioners can use to augment their personal practice of any magical work. Through experimental research, study and hard work in the Quantum Life Science Institute, the lecture will cover some theoretical groundwork on how to think about magical work a from systems of information point of view and then ground these ideas in actual techniques demonstrated with you at the Crucible. Come with an open mind.
